Many people may say they wash their hands frequently, but some studies show that it might not be the situation. It is possible that mindlessness predominates, and several believe they’ve really done something when actually they have not. Studies also reveal that individuals who do wash their hands are doing this incorrectly. Wiping fast with water is wrong. Hand soap and water should be used whenever possible, and the hands have to be scrubbed together, and it should require at least 90 seconds. The major advantage of hands washing is it removes transient organisms which may easily be passed. For example, a physician can pick up and transfer germs from a patient that has contracted a disease.
Experts recommend that it needs to be performed more regularly, and also the two most critical instances are after using the toilet and before eating. It’s estimated that over a million lives could be saved annually, by simply washing hands.
